This ongoing watercolor class is designed for mixed skill levels, from beginners wanting to build strong foundations to experienced painters looking to deepen their technique and personal style.
Students will explore essential watercolor skills including color mixing, layering, brushwork, composition, value, texture, and creating depth, while working through a new project each month. Instruction is skill-focused while still encouraging exploration, experimentation, and artistic individuality.
My teaching style emphasizes learning the “why” behind techniques while helping each student develop their own creative voice rather than simply copying a finished painting. Students are encouraged to explore, take creative risks, and grow in confidence at their own pace.
Along with technical instruction, this class offers a welcoming and supportive studio community where artists can learn, connect, and enjoy the creative process together.
